E85FFV AutoFlex

E85FFV AutoFlex is a small computer in a box that allows your car to drive on ethanol (E85) as well as gasoline. E85FFV AutoFlex detects if you are driving on E85 or gasoline and automatically adjusts the injectors to fit the fuel mixture. AutoFlex has a cold start function that automatically adapts to the season and engine temperature. E85FFV AutoFlex is a made in Sweden for the Swedish climate and makes it possible for the car engine to use both ethanol (E85) and gasoline in all seasons.  E85FFV AutoFlex adjusts the signals from the ECU to the fuel injectors so that the engine can use any mixture of  E85 and gasoline as effectively and environmetally friendly as possible. With E85FFV in the car you can drive on both 100% E85 and gasoline.

E85FFV AutoFlex 904, price € 249,00

E85FFV AutoFlex 904 is a "Plug-and-Play" conversion kit that works with with virtually all four cylinder cars (for V6's & V8's you need 2 kits). AutoFlex has four channels and a separate circuit for each injector. This makes AutoFlex work with almost all cars with electronic fuel injection.

Who can drive on ethanol instead of gasoline ?

Most gasoline cars made after 1987 can drive on ethanol as well as gasoline if they are fitted with one of our flexifuel boxes. That means that millions of cars world wide can  be converted to drive on E85!

What is E85FFV ?

E85FFV is a small computer in a 'box' that enables your car to run on the ethanol fuel  E85! E85FFV helps the engine in the car to combust both gasoline and ethanol (E85) efficiently by adapting  the signals from the computer in the car to the fuel injectors so that the engine can burn any mixture of alcohol and gasoline in an environment friendly way.
E85FFV AutoFlex senses wich mixture fuel is being used and adjusts the signals to the fuel injectors automatically. AutoFlex also has a cold start function that automatically  adapts to the season and temperature.

What is ethanol ?

Ethanol is an alcohol made up by two carbon atoms, one oxygen atom and six hydrogen atoms. Ethanol is an excellent solvent and fuel, ethanol burns well and when the combustion is complete  only carbon dioxide and water is emitted. The chemical name is ethyl alcohol, C2H5OH. This is the same alcohol you find in beer, wine and vodka.

How is ethanol made ?

Ethanol made by fermenting plants rich oh starch like for example wheat and sugar cane. This means that ethanol is a renewable bio fuel that is much better for the environment than diesel and gasoline that continously adds more green house gases to the atmosphere.

What is E85 ?

E85 is a car fuel that primarily contains 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. E85 also contains  emetic and red dye for safety reasons.

Does regular gasoline contain ethanol ?

Gasoline in Europe contains 5% etanol and this works well in cars made for unleaded gasoline. It has been suggested that the ethanol part should be increased to10%. Many car owners test on their own to add more ethanol to the gasoline and most cars can handle up to 15-20% without installing a conversion kit.

Is the fuel consumption higher with E85 ?

Typically the car consumes 25-30% more fuel per kilometer with ethanol than with gasoline If the car is unable to increase the fuel consumption this much on its own it will need a convertion kit to run on E85.

Will I save money when I drive on E85 ?

That depends on the price difference between E85 and gasoline. You will save money if the  price for 1 liter gasoline is higher than 1,25 liter E85. But the greatest benefit is that you will save the environment by reducing your emissions of fossil green house gases.

What is the octane number for E85 ?

The octane number for E85 104 RON, this means that ethanol can be used in engines with a higher compression than you can with gasoline.

Will driving on E85 produce harmful emissions ?

No, a properly converted car running on E85 will reduce it's harmfull emissions with up to 80%!

Will the car be harder to start in the winter ?

Ethanol doesn't vaporize as easily as gasoline wich can make it harder to start a cold engine.  The cold start function in the flexifuel kit adjusts for the temperature and helps the car start normally.  The use of an engine heater is recommended for environmental reasons when the temperature is below 5 centigrades, regardless of wich fuel you are using.
